EUMEDIS is a huge program undertaken by the EC for
the purpose of developing the Information Society in
the Mediterranean region. The purpose of the EUMEDIS
program is to contribute to the expansion and
qualitative improvement of the Euro-Mediterranean
Information Society in the pursuit of the overall
economic development, quality of life and mutual
comprehension, and understanding the objectives of
the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation.

DANTE (Delivery of Advanced Network Technology to
Europe) is responsible of planning, building and
operation of the GÉANT network. In addition to that
DANTRE is also responsible for implementing the
EUMEDOCNNECT project.
