The JUNet undertakes offering the Jordanian Universities with many services, such as:
1- Internet services
The JUNet provides this service to all public universities 24/7, guaranteeing the efficiency and continuity of such service as being provided uninterruptedly; in addition to ensure making spare internet lines available.
2- Microsoft Licensing
The JUNet has been concluding agreement with Microsoft Corporation so as to provide licensed Microsoft programs to the public Jordanian Universities with discount rates (low-cost).
3- EUMEDConnect
As a Jordanian National Research and Education Network, JUNet is a partner in many European collaboration projects under the ENP, FP6, FP7 and TEMPUS; such as the EUMEDCONNECT Project and EUMEDCONNECT2 www.eumedconnect2.net.
4- EUMEDGrid
Co-Funded by the European Commission in the framework of FP6, the EUMEDGRID project started on January 2006, with the aim of supporting the development of a Grid e-Infrastructure in the Mediterranean Area and promoting the porting of new applications on the Grid platform, thus allowing Mediterranean scientist to collaborate more closely with their European colleagues www.eumedgrid.org
5- Electronic libraries
The JUNet provides the service of linking Jordanian Universities’ libraries to AL-Tamayoz centre in Al-Yarmouk University in order to provide undergraduates and teaching board members with the electronic browsing service
6- Video Conference
The JUNet provides Video Conference service among all public Jordanian Universities on one hand and between such universities and other international universities on the other hand by utilizing its own network ; as Video Conference is being applied and run under JUNet supervision and superintending.
7- Technical support and consulting
The JUNet staff takes on providing technical support and consulting to the public Jordanian Universities in various technical fields, i.e.: computer networking or Microsoft programming.
